The finalist's - I hope the one with the dummy wasn't getting any bonus pins.  

The latest round of the AMF Senior Tour at Wellingborough attracted 71 Men and 20 ladies and was very ably run by Cathy Baldwin and her happy crew.

There were various ups and downs in the two qualifying squads and the high games of the day were hit by Pete Cornwall 290 and Angie Brown 279.

The Mens round robin crew were Mo Singleton – Ken Burton – Andy Langley – Dave Gibbins – Les Grant – Ron Bryant.

The Ladies round robin crew were Angie Brown – Irene O’Hara - Lynne Palmer – Erica Gardner – Angela Steward – Sue Cobb.

Well done to all the round robin finalists to get past the first cut and second cut and into the last six.

In the Mens round robin Ron Bryant cracked on a won 4 out of 5 games and his last game of 235 nearly won him the event over Dave Gibbins who lost his last two games - whilst Mo Singleton was climbing to attain his third place.

However Ron was still 1 pin short and Dave Gibbins succeeded in winning the event by just 1 pin after 15 games. Well done Dave.

Mo Singleton average 207 and was closely followed by Ken Burton on 206 and the rest of the field averaged 196 to 199.

In the Ladies round robin young Angie Brown seriously outscored all others on a scratch basis and only Angie Brown and Irene O’Hara the two lowest Age Bonus and Handicap bowlers each won 4 out of 5 games.

In the final game Angie Brown played Lynne Palmer and Angie’s six strikes in a row finish beat Lynne to first place by a grand total of 19 pins overall.

Angie Brown averaged 205 and the next highest averages were Irene O’Hara on 190 and Lynne Palmer 186.

Well done to all the finalists and we all look forward to the next BTBA Senior Event at Barnsley and the next AMF Senior Tour event at Worthing
